“A good day of fly fishing is more than catching fish. It’s about a connection with the river, the land, and the rhythm of nature”
About Andrew
Andrew’s angling journey began in Warwickshire as a boy, fishing for coarse fish with a traditional float and worm. After moving to the South West with his family, fishing took a back seat for a period while he focused on family and career.
Later, after receiving a fly casting lesson voucher from his family for his birthday, Andrew had a fly-casting lesson with Nick Hart at the Exe Valley Fishery.
This lesson reignited his passion for angling and introduced him to the art of fly fishing, and eventually to the beauty of Dartmoor and Exmoor and the wild brown trout that swim in the freestone rivers.
For Andrew, fly fishing is more than just the pursuit of trout. The rhythm and grace of fly casting and time spent on rivers and streams, surrounded by running water, moorland scenery, and wildlife provides a deep connection with nature.
